Filter Media Selection Guide
Polyester (PE)
Cost-effective for standard dust applications. Available with anti-static, PTFE membrane, water/oil repellent treatments. Best for: wood processing, food, feed mills.
PPS (Ryton®)
Excellent chemical resistance to acids and alkalis. Ideal for coal-fired boilers, SO₂-laden flue gas. Best for: thermal power, waste incineration.
PTFE (Teflon®)
Superior chemical inertness, non-stick surface for sticky dust. Best for: cement (clinker), chemical processing, pigment plants.
Nomex® (Aramid)
Flame-resistant, stable at sustained high temperatures. Best for: EAF electric arc furnaces, hot gas filtration in steel.
Fiberglass
Excellent for very high temperatures and corrosive gases. Lower tensile strength — requires careful pulse pressure setting. Best for: glass, cement, incinerators.
Composite / Laminated
PTFE membrane laminated on PE/PPS substrate for sub-micron filtration and easy cake release. Best for: fine chemical, pharmaceutical dust.
